Aarhus School of Architecture The Aarhus School of Architecture plays a major role in the InteractiveSpaces research center. Aarhus School of Architecture supports the center through the Communications Design Group. Professor Uffe Lentz from the group is the Vice Manager of the InteractiveSpaces research center. The Department of Computer Science at the University of Aarhus The Department of Computer Science at the University of Aarhus is one of the major contributors to the InteractiveSpaces research center. (Aarhus School of Architecture being the other.) The department supports InteractiveSpaces with scientist through the Experimental Computer Science Group. The Alexandra Institute The Alexandra Institute is a limited company founded by educational institutions and members of the business community to promote research, development, knowledge sharing and education within the IT area. The institute creates a mutual communication-space where science and business meet and work together for the benefit of both parties. ISIS Katrinebjerg ISIS Katrinebjerg is an innovative competence-center operated by The Alexandra Institute. The goal of ISIS Katrinebjerg is to promote competences within the areas of interactive spaces, pervasive healthcare and software development. By promoting these competences ISIS Katrinebjerg hopes to ensure, that the newest IT-knowledge is distributed to large parts of the business community in Jutland and on Funen. Multimedia at the University of Aarhus Multimedia is an interdisciplinary co-operation between the Institute of Aesthetic Disciplines, The Department of Information and Media Studies and The Department of Computer Science at the University of Aarhus. Multimedia offers courses in such diverse fields as design, hypermedia, human-computer interaction, digital aesthetics, virtual reality and many others. Students attending Multimedia come from different academic disciplines and here they learn to use the newest theories, techniques and applications the IT-field has to offer. Tihii Media Since 1997 the Danish communications bureau Tihii Media ApS has specialised in conceptualising and developing high quality media projects for children.
Communicating with children requires a special expertise in usability, dramaturgy, visual interface development and educational issues as well as strategic concerns. Tihii Media has the primary focus on and solid experience in communication targeted children.
Tihii Media focuses on children's skills and possibilities on the Internet by basing our work on thorough surveys and research of the target group. Tihii Media not only work on web projects for children, but collect and develop new knowledge of children and Internet culture, web design, future web possibilities and problems for parents, teachers and other adults who are responsible for children's independent but safe exploration of the Internet.
